Kathy Sherwood is a pen name. She is a graduate student in Media and Communications, and lives and works in Ohio. A college brat, she was born in faculty-housing at a small college in Virginia. Always a lover of ghosts, monsters, and other creepy creatures, she was first accidentally introduced to the noir genre at age 5 when her father watched the Weimar-era gangster movie, The Testament of Dr. Mabuse, while she was home sick from school. That was also when she began to write down stories and staple them into little books, although she did not look at the crime noir genre again for about another decade.
Kathy dreams of one day becoming a full-time writer, and recently published her first ebook– No Rest: A Noir Collection. Other projects in the works include a sequel tentatively titled “Empty Streets” and a fairy-tale novel called Ashes.
